Cox-Deasy Cottage

The Historic Mobile Preservation Society owns and manages the Cox-Deasy Cottage, a circa 1850 Gulf Coast Cottage, located just steps from the Historic Oakleigh House and the Minnie Mitchell Archives.

Built by George Cox, a brick mason, this is a significant example of architecture that is unique to the Gulf Coast. The cottage is the only example of this architecture that is open to the public.

The cottage is available for meetings, events and small weddings. For information, please email museum@historicoakleigh.org.
